Catherine Harris (née Richards) [##45003-46501]
His father emigrated to New South Wales, Australia, where William was born and raised.
William emigrated back to Wales where he married Catherine Richards and started a family while working in tin-plating.
He and his brother traveled to Gas City, Indiana, USA, to work for their uncle Charles Maliphant, who built and owned a tin-plate factory there, bringing his family over to live with him within two years.
